Bringing natural light into your house does not have to include the exhausting work of installing a skylight — framing a curb on your roof and a tunnel in your attic, installing drywall, taping and texturing, and finishing the opening. Solatube’s daylighting system installs easily; some kits can be completely installed within two or three hours — no finish work necessary.
A Solatube will also give you better energy efficiency than a standard skylight. The enclosed tunnel is in the attic, and the ceiling-mounted diffuser is double glazed. Add options like a vent kit for your bathroom or an incandescent bulb kit.
