Stewardship

The owners and employees of Lyndale Glass consider ourselves blessed to live in Whatcom and Skagit counties where we can enjoy the great outdoors.  While enjoying the breath-taking beauty, we enjoy all the same activities you love and so we are all very interested in preserving the environment we work and play in.

The impact on the environment is an important issue for consideration for construction projects, and Lyndale Glass wants to make sure that we are doing our part to make our world a safer and healthier place for the future generations.

Our industry is filled with positive ways to reduce our carbon footprint in today’s world.  We carry window, door, and skylight products that are able to be configured to meet Energy Star requirements thus reducing the energy consumption of your home.  We also make great efforts to recycle as much of our glass, wood, and aluminum products we remove from jobsites.

Not only are we participating firsthand to ensure our products are energy efficient and recycled, we want our product supplier’s to have the same goals.  Many of the manufacturers we represent are making strong statements about responsible use of natural resources and are engaged in manufacturing that emphasizes sustainable materials.  One great example comes from our wood window and door manufacturers such as Andersen, Marvin, and JELD-WEN who offer products that comply with standards from the Forestry Stewardship Council and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative.

While we are excited about the steps we have taken to decrease the footprint we are leaving on Northwest Washington, we are always looking for ways to reuse and recycle products.  If you have any you would like to pass along, please e-mail us.
